Unsuspicious Industries operates at the edge of defensible autonomy, and we need an Ethics Researcher who can translate values into enforceable mechanisms. You will join a hybrid team of philosophers, policy wonks, and systems engineers to ensure our novel deployments remain accountable to society.
Responsibilities
- Develop evaluative frameworks for new experiments, deployments, and datasets.
- You convert ethical judgements into typing rules
- Check if we can at all time will that our logical frameworks should become a universal law.
- Track AI developpement, study existentil risk and defend our line on LessWrong in the comment section of Yudkowsky’s posts.
What helps
- 4+ years in applied ethics, safety research, or adjacent risk roles, but a big hatred for the Ai safety folks.
- Working knowledge of technical ML systems and their failure modes.
- Published research, or at least twitter threads with more than 50 likes.
- Knowing around 10 words in at least 5 other language besides English is a plus.
